Xbox Live downtime next week, no joke
The 1st April is of course April Fool’s Day, however Microsoft aren’t joking (or are they?!) when they say that the Xbox Live service will be out of action for a few hours.
On Tuesday, the service won’t be functioning from 2-5 AM PDT (0900-1200 GMT). Hopefully the maintenance will only take three hours, however we have seen in the past that things don’t always go to plan.

This is not the Spring Update before anyone gets too excited. That will likely come at sometime in April or May, and Microsoft will surely let us know in advance. So don’t get your hopes up, this isn’t all that exciting, but of course you wouldn’t want to get caught out by not knowing.

lol @ the quick mspaint job
that’s too bad they didn’t just wait till the update to do this… or roll the update out on the first.
This ‘maintenance’ may be a necessary pre-requisite for the Spring Update.
so do it first, and then do the update, just separate the instances by two minutes, not two months. if it is simply “maintenance”, then there should be no time required in between the two, it should just have to get done.
they always leave time between so that they can make sure the changes work properly and dont cause issues before the new release… its not good to change 2 things at once a server change and new dashboard all at once is a no no
Anyone know what the spring update will include MS has been really quiet and so has been the internet.
Maybe updating servers for GTA4 release…perhaps - perhaps not… didn’t they do something like this before Halo3 came out???
