Halo Wars Beta coming soon?
The eagle eyed folks over at 360Sync spotted a couple of Gamertags playing what appears to be a Halo Wars Alpha. Could we see an announcement at this year’s E3 that lets the rest of us have a go on a Beta version?
The Gamertag names have been blocked out, along with the Gamerscore and Motto section to protect the privacy of those playing; no-one wants to be bombarded with messages about how they got their hands on the Alpha and what it is like.
Hopefully someone somewhere will spill the beans soon, but for now it’s time to play the waiting game. The build up of hype that will likely stem from this is certainly good for the game, as anticipation levels will surely rise at these sightings. It hurts, doesn’t it?

i was excited for this game but after playing halo 3 i dont really care
just because it’s set in the same universe dosn’t mean the game’s will be the same.
I didn’t like medal of honur dosn’t mean I didn’t buy cod 2 & 3 because there both set during WW2

only beta i hated was BFBC because they really werent worth it… the bugs they had in the beta were ones that made playing annoying… i dont mind bugs but if basic things like the damage a bullet does are way off then the betas just going to annoy testers.
I hope there is a beta…. I want in!
The beta for Halo Wars probably won’t be public.
Even without the Beta, it is nice to hear of progress with this title.

Unless the beta invitation comes with one other game, like they did with Crackdown for H3. That game was pretty awesome for about a couple of months.

What’s paying for the invitation? I brought a game just as I would buy any other game and the Invitation was just a bonus.
the question is why would you pass on a FREE invitation, considering thats normally how the inivtations to the betas are released… ok ya sometimes you need an IGN subscription or something to snag some of them but theirs normally a free way as well.

Seriously, whatever works. I mean Crackdown was great and I don’t regret buying that game just by itself even, in fact, if I had acquired a beta key some other way, I’d still get Crackdown.
But that’s beside the point, the invite was FREE, it was a bonus to the game. Therefore, I didn’t pay anything for the beta.

Didn’t COD4 have a beta? Yeah I was big on Halo at the time and didn’t really care for COD kind of games, though now I’ve learned the err of my ways.

You do know that beta builds are expected to have BUGS. and that’s what beta testers are for… to find the bugs and report them.
The more people there are then the more likely the bug is spotted.
Though beta’s are tested almost as much as final releases…
I was hyped about the game until I learned it would not be an FPS. It would be a RTS instead. If the beta comes out, I might try it out but I really don’t think I will buy it.
