Ubisoft announces Prince of Persia for Xbox 360
It’s taken them more than a year, but Ubisoft has finally confirmed the existence of a new installment in the acclaimed Prince of Persia series, following the title’s first appearance in an Ubisoft quarterly financial statement in January 2007 and an artwork unveiled by a magazine in March 2007.
Set for a Fall 2008 debut on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, the untitled Prince of Persia game is being worked on by Ubisoft’s Montreal studio, more specifically the same team that brought us the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy. The new title is “opening a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe, featuring a new breed of gameplay.” As well as that, the game is “poised to rejuvenate the action-adventure genre in addition to introducing a brand-new illustrative art style.”
Whether or not the confirmed Prince of Persia title is in any way related to the artwork remains to be seen. We’ll have more on the next-gen debut of the Prince of Persia franchise as soon as it becomes available.

Out-fucking-Standing!!
YES YES YES YES YES YES!!
I loved this game when it first came out. Well check that, when Sands of Time came out. The only game I’ve ever enjoyed from a non-multiplayer POV was GTA:3. Considering how many games I’ve played, that is saying something.
I would be SOOOOOO happy if they made Sands of time over again, just with different puzzles. I’m still befuddled as to why they tried to “improve” on the model they built in Sands. It was the perfect balance of slash ‘em up fighting meets puzzle-platformer.
In a word: YAYZ!
HOLY CRAP ANOTHER GAME FOR THE 360 THAT I HAVE GOT TO BUY!
This is f*cking wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
