What turned out to be a complete farce is soon to be rectified, as Namco Bandai have confirmed they are working on a patch that should be released by the end of May for Mr. Driller Online. The game will then finally live up to its name.

Namco Bandai should feel suitably embarrassed by what has happened, as a game with “online” in the title really shouldn’t have such a broken online component. It’s totally unplayable and means those that paid 800 Points cannot play half the game they bought, with no chance of a refund.
