EA makes Skate 2 official
Electronic Arts’ skateboard wonder child, skate., raised the bar in the extreme sports genre when it released for the Xbox 360 in September last year, even going as far as waking up Activision from the long slumber. With that said, it’s no wonder then that a Skate sequel is underway for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Tucked away at the end of EA’s press release for Skate It, the series’ first venture onto the Wii and Nintendo DS, there laid the official confirmation for Skate 2:
“Separately, Skate 2 is also currently in development for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system.”
That is all that was said with regard to the Skate sequel, so we’ll have to wait a bit more before EA reveals what new features it will be bringing to the table for the series’ return to the 360 and PS3.
i hope its good, skate 1 was fun for awhile, multi was shit though, laggy and broken.

Yes, yes we do, because good old Neversoft has been churning out shite for years. Therefore, there is only one great next gen skateboarding, and another one won’t be so bad.
Besides, compare it to the 300000000 shooting games we have and it seems rather novel.

Well we need something man, how many freaking shooters are out there on the 360 alone. Way too many. RPGs have a solid ground, sports games are up there with the shooters. Let’s see how many “extreme” sports games are out for the 360. Amped 3, American Wasteland, Project 8, Proving Ground and Skate. 4 skate games… total. 5 if you wanna include DOA: Xtreme 2

I don’t know why EA even bothers making these garbage games. Ever since I sold them all NFL rights for the big $$$, they have all they need to reap serious cheese from the video game public. Did you know the NFL just had a draft? Something’s always happening in the NFL! That’s like 7200 new NFL recruits, most of which didn’t even get paid to go to college! Charge 200 microsoft points each to download those bastards! I also have an idea for BioShock 2: starring Brian Bosworth! (yes, the NFL still owns the rights to Brian Bosworth)

Cant wait for Skate2, first one was awesome. Also had trouble with lag on multiplayer, so only played it a couple of times, but overall its a wicked game. Miles better than any of the crap Tony Hawk has forced upon us.
Oh, and for those of you that dont want to buy it…………. Why are you on this page ???
one of the best games on 360. the flick it controls are genius and with a few tweaks, graphical touches and some more tricks this will rule extreme sports games. until somebody makes a wingsuit game that is..
