Played it earlier today. Its basically the same game released on the original Xbox with new levels and a weird camera. Still fun though.

Basically, except a different weapons scheme too.

Âżoriginal xbox with new levels? the original is very old. don’t remember right off, but it was one of the first 16 bit games. I just saw a preview and I feel confident that it will rock! This is a long-awaited sequal.

Original Xbox Ninja Gaiden, not THE original Ninja Gaiden. =P

The lack of control over the camera totally ruins this game for me. That and the old skool gameplay. Sadly, not a great deal of depth to it. Could have been so much better. I would agree with the “dude”. XBox original, but slightly updated.

Well, I bought this game since these dummies couldn’t get it on Marketplace before the game came out. I do believe that was intentional.

Why? It because of monkies like those posting stupid crap that is not true about the game. It is true that if you did not like the previous games, NG2 will not convince you to buy it.

If you thought the last games were too hard, this game does address that issue but its still hard. Anyone who thinks this game is not better is just an idiot.

The gameplay is much better in many different way. Its an evolution not a revolution which is what you get with sequels. I can’t believe some moron says the game lacks depth.

Its a game for fans of the series not newbie chimps and casual Wii clowns. Any fan of the series will clearly see the improvements and realize that this game is very good.

Graphics are still the same to me, the cut away limbs and extra doses of blood and brain splatter are new though. And as I said before, new weapons, though I noticed the same moves were carried over from the last NG for the Dragon Sword and the Lunar Stick. I love that you can charge your arrow though and you get a little red dot to show you where you can hit.

Now the camera? I’ve adjusted to it and it’s not so bad as to not buy the game *ahem Manodestra* but it’s not perfect either, especially when you have to be aware of your surroundings, that is, after all, the way of the ninja right?

Comment by ManoDestra on 2008-06-09 06:04:57 | Reply

I think I’d be better equipped to be aware of my surroundings if the camera didn’t snap back to horizontal every damn time I try to look at something beyond a 2 dimensional plane.

And no zarbor, I’m not a moron. I simply have a different opinion to you. There’s a difference. I simply expect more from a modern next gen game than this old skool gameplay. That’s just my opinion. If you like it, enjoy it. Just because you think it’s great, doesn’t make everyone else who disagrees a moron, you moron!

“Next gen” has, is, and always will be marketing bull-shit.
