Coldplay making a debut in GH III next week
The first two weeks of Activision’s five-week DLC release schedule brought us Motörhead and Isle of Wright track packs for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and now the company has sent word of what will be putting your GH III copy to some good use Thursday next week.
Coming to Guitar Hero III next week is a Coldplay song pack that includes a single from the band’s latest album Viva La Vida:
- Violet Hill
- Yellow
- God Put a Smile Upon Your Face
The track pack will be available for 550 Microsoft Points. Expect to learn what the other two upcoming track packs will be late next week.
Cold Play? Wow that’s some tough guitar parts there.

well u would think a game called guitar hero would actually have some good songs in it…. like some serious sherdin goin on..dont get me wrong i enjoi playin Killswitch Engage, Dragonforce, Avenge Sevenfold,and In Flames but giving shitty bands credit when they dont deserve it just make it all not worth it… I can think of a million other bands to put in this kind of game than Coldplay and the rest of the shit in there, keep the coldplay to the game made by MTV to begin with and give us the real ass shredin metal that we all know we want!!!!!!

Besides Rock Band already has a better metal selection then GH3. At the Gates… Ever heard of them? Dragonforce is beyond cheesy too as a band.

The percentage of bands in the world that use double bass in their drums compared to those that don’t is very low, and the percentage of people that listen to them is even lower. It’s not supposed to be a full-on simulator. It’s just a rhythm game, christ.
Besides, the controllers can only have as many “buttons” as the ACTUAL Xbox controller does.
But the percentage of people that use double bass drum pedals that are also a little crusty and bullied through most of school is quite high.

Rock Band has 3 metal songs? I suppose you don’t count Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Black Tide, Crooked X, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, etc. metal then?
