oh word…unfortunately, you were never taught to not generalize a whole country with stereotypes. Guess things aren’t so different across the pond after all. I don’t know one person who doesn’t know that paris is in france and london is in england. I mean lets be serious my 8 year old brother knows that. ridiculous.

Unfortunately it is the mentality of a lot of Americans that their country is the greatest in the world and everywhere else is shit.

Ain’t just me saying that I have been told that by the more cultured Americans that I know. It’s just how they are taught growing up, which is why they think things like Paris is in London or they do not understand that the UK is made up from four different countries etc.

Ain’t their fault really they just don’t know shit since they were never taught.

A slick looking, pseudo 3-d dashboard and people are worried about losing their precious themes?

Personally, I like the look of it. Someone above likened it to Apple TV, and I’d say that’s a pretty apt comparison (look’s wise at least). As long as it loads quickly, who cares?

The 360 has alway’s been viewed as a console more geared towards a hardcore audience with games like Halo3, COD4, GOW being it’s main titles. this new look just doesn’t suit it at all. It looks like Microsoft are just trying to get at the the wii style audience.

I really do not like the look of this new dash.
It looks too much like a mix between the Wii and the Apple TV.
All thats needed is a couple of tweaks to the current one, not a complete overhaul. The new dash looks very childish and dull. The current dash on 360 just now looks the best out of the 3 consoles. The avatars I am not bothered about really but it’s nice they are there. The netflix I prob wouldn’t use. I couldn’t care less about the photo thing or the primetime thing. I have bought quite a few themes that I don’t want to lose complety. I really hope this is optional when it launches. I want to keep my current dash.

Play from hard drive? I have a 20. Not sure if it’s worth buying a 120 or 80, but I’ll consider it.

Personally, I love the new look and the Avatars. I think a lot of hardcore gamers can be selfish in that they don’t like for 360 to appeal to more mainstream gamers. I’m a nonconformist but not just for the sake of being a nonconformist. People who disagree without cause simply to be different can be annoying. First, they fought against 360 being more or less a media center. Now, they’re fighting against this. They hate change. They’re the Conservatives of gaming. LOL.

Unfortunately they probably don’t give a shit about Europe…

as one guy told me on another website “Why would they care about anywhere else, the 360 is a US thing and its only really popular there, make your own console and then you can get cool stuff”.

It blows I mean looking at there list :-

NetFlix - Defo US only.

Free Stuff for Avatars based on Movies etc - US only (like it is with gamerpictures now).

1 .vs. 100 - As there are prizes involved, defo USA only.

Play Game from HD - With the price of HD’s being extortion here and me with only a 20GB that I bought before the Elite came out… will probably never get to use this feature.

Europe and the RotW getting the shaft as usual.

Sounds cool, but until the price of HDD’s come down (or the ability to plug in any old USB drive) I doubt many will be making much use of the copy to the hard drive functionality.
