Alone in the Dark and WALL•E demos now on XBLM

Earlier today saw the release of two new demos on the Marketplace for you to try out – the much overdue demo for Atari’s not-so-successful horror game, Alone in the Dark, and a sampler of THQ’s movie-to-game adaptation WALL•E. Japanese can now also get their hands on the demo for Silicon Knights’ Too Human that’s been available to all other Xbox Live regions since the week of E3 2008.

Man my hard drive is full. Hard to keep enough free gigs for demos DLC and stuff is filling it up quick. Bring on the price drops.

I really wouldn’t bother with Wall-E, unless your kids are bored, i tried the PS3 demo a week or 2 ago and was completely underwhelmed by it, dull repetitive gameplay and the graphics are very poor i think. Nothing like as good as the film.

Hmmmm, an AITD demo AFTER the game came out and mostly bombed. Let me see now, didn’t Dark Sector follow the same pattern after being touted as the next Gears?

I guess you can’t blame them for trying but the horse has definitely bolted ….

yea but the difference here is Dark Sector was a great game and AITD is not so much!

Yeah, I thought Dark Sector was a decent title. Not fantastic, but very enjoyable. Okay, it borrowed ideas from Gears, Rainbow Six and Resident Evil, but hey if you’re gonna steal, steal from the best. And it worked. It’s a good game. Bosses were irritating as hell though. That ruined the game for me.

Alone In The Dark is one I haven’t gotten back to. I wasn’t overly impressed by the first chapter. It was way too linear for my liking. And my brother’s played on further and he says it gets really infuriating later on. It’ll be a cold night before that goes back into my XBox.
