Heroes over Europe landing on Xbox 360 in 2009

Atari and Red Mile Entertainment have announced that Heroes over Europe, the Heroes of the Pacific sequel described as an “ultra-realistic seat-of-the-pants tactical flight combat game,” is headed to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2009.

Set to continue the WWII aerial battles, this time over the well-known lands of Europe, Heroes over Europe thrusts players into the cockpits fighting for the Allied campaign. Built on an all-new engine, the game is “set to raise the bar for flight combat games” by offering new game modes, deeper online gameplay for up to 16 players, and “ultra-realistic” recreations of the era’s warplanes and environments, including London and Berlin.

Cyril Voiron, VP Brand Management Worldwide Publishing at Atari, praised the franchise for its achievements:

“The Heroes series has brought some of the world’s most exciting air battles in history to gamers all over the world, and Heroes over Europe builds on the series’ impressive legacy with highly detailed realistic visual presentation and an even deeper online experience.”

Said Simon Price, President of Red Mile Entertainment:

“Transmission Games did an incredible job on the first game, Heroes of the Pacific, and this second game in the series is definitely benefiting from that experience. We are very excited to partner with Atari to bring this stunning title to gamers worldwide.”
