Pure and NBA Live 09 demos now up on XBLM
As expected, Disney Interactive Studios has today released a playable demo for the upcoming off-road racing game Pure. Joining it is a taster for the new installment in EA Sports’ basketball franchise, NBA Live 09.

The Pure demo features a tutorial and a full track set in Italy, whereas the sampler for NBA Live 09 gives players the chance relive the match from the 2008 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

Pure demo kicks some serious ass. I have never felt this level of thrill or excitement in an off-road racing game before - not in Motorstorm, not in MX vs ATV Untamed, not in Dirt. We are seeing the end of Motorstorm’s reign as the off-road racing champ. I’m gonna pick up Pure on day 1.
well live 09 was exactly what i expected, it sucked compared to nba 2k7 or 2k8 and im sure 2k9! dont get me wrong though the graphics are of course on point, but the shooting doesnt feel real, it was all to easy to score the defense just feels like ur following the person. it really really seems like Live 09’s formula is to solely focus on the graphics and looks and throwin in a few nice gameplay things here and there.
combine the gameplay of 2k and the looks of live and you will probably have the most unmatched basketball game ever!
and yes i did play it until i was comfortable with the buttons so its not like i picked it up, gave it one game and didnt like it, i got pretty used to the control and just did not like it. but thats just my opinion.
Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by Pure. I may add it to my list of purchases.
