Xbox Live Film Club premieres

Intent on further cementing the Xbox 360 as the best home digital entertainment hub, Microsoft has launched the Xbox Live Film Club in the UK which allows a selection of lucky Xbox 360 players to attend exclusive previews of the upcoming movies, as well as offers the chance to win other exclusive prizes.

Microsoft has partnered up with Paramount Digital Entertainment to kick off the Xbox Live Film Club with a private screening of the forthcoming comedy flick Tropic Thunder on September 12 at a central London private cinema. Xbox fans from the UK have until Tuesday, September 9, to send in an email containing “your name, gamertag, email address and the name of your favourite film currently on Xbox LIVE Video Store and a review of that film in 50 words or less.”

In addition, Paramount has announced that the Xbox Live Video Store will soon feature new movies such as Iron Man, Love Guru, Watchmen, I’m not there, Margot at the Wedding and Eagle Eye, plus a set of 25 “genre-defining” Paramount classics, like Forrest Gump, Pretty in Pink, Planes Trains and Automobiles and Ghost.

I’m sure this will result in hundreds of thousand of 360’s being sold over the next few days. This must be the best thing ever, so important to everyone with a 360! My god, this made me so excited I almost bought a PS3.

Just look at those movies coming soon to the video store. WOW! er… are they in colour?

Just exactly how does this help ‘cement the Xbox 360 as the best home digital entertainment hub’? It does NOTHING for the 360

Sad, just sad….

Nope, not interested in it one bit.

But the quality games available or upcoming and online support do make it the best home gaming console available.
