All That Remains coming to Rock Band next week

The tireless folks at Harmonix have unveiled the next batch of downloadable content for the music rhythm game Rock Band – a three-pack from the American metalcore band All That Remains. Head inside to see what tracks will be on offer on the Marketplace starting this Tuesday.

ALL THAT REMAINS 3 PACK - 240 Microsoft Points:

  • THIS CALLING - 80 Microsoft Points
  • CHIRON - 80 Microsoft Points
  • TWO WEEKS - 80 Microsoft Points

“Two Weeks” and “Chiron” are from the yet-to-be-released album Overcome and will as such be exclusive to Rock Band for a full week before the album releases on September 16. Also, each track will be available for a month special offer of 80 MSP a pop or 240 MSP for the three-pack, much like the already available Roadrunner 6 Pack.

About fucking time good music makes it onto Rockband! (I realize they just released Killswitch on here.) Still, AtR on drums is fucking brutal. Good luck to all on this.

Like a genre that doesn’t have “core” anywhere in the name.

Shit isn’t even close to real hardcore anymore.

Where in this did anyone mention the word “hardcore?” It’s metal tracks. If you choose to put certain bands into the group of “metalcore” is your decision. All Rock Band is doing is trying to add songs that are difficult. No one wants to play four notes over and over and over again. Hence why there is no hardcore songs in the game. That and tough guy hardcore fucking sucks.

Hardcore came up when you mentioned Black Dahlia Murder and All Shall Perish as being metal bands. They’re not. They’re a bastardization of “HxC” karate kick hardcore music and metal, and just about everyone that actually knows anything about music will agree. They are not real metal, even by technical skill.

I’m not a fan of actual hardcore music either, but at least the genre doesn’t pretend to be anything else, like the modern post-punk shit that calls itself “hardcore” along with all the terrible straight-edge labeling.

Whatever… at least it’s not Trivium.

Chiron is pretty good I think should be a work out for guitar. Personally I want Entombed - Left Hand Path and Carcass - Heartwork out for RB.
