New price for 120GB HDD confirmed
As Americans saw the price of all Xbox 360 SKUs drop last week, it was surely only a matter of time before the 120GB Hard Drive was dropped to fall in line with everything else. Sure enough, Microsoft has confirmed the new price of $149, reduced from $179.
A spokesperson told GameDaily:
“We reduced the price of the Xbox 360 120 GB Hard Drive to $149 in conjunction with the recent Xbox 360 console price drop. We believe this offers consumers even greater value when selecting accessories that meet their individual gaming and entertainment needs.”
Picking up an Arcade unit and the 120GB HDD is now cheaper than picking up the Elite, which offers little extra other than coming with an HDMI cable and is black. The whole 360 range has certainly become more accessible for space-hungry downloaders, so what will you do now?

Not sure, thought it was late October, in combination with the introduction of the 60gig starter package.
Should be $100. No more.
Even the $250 gig external I bought last year was only $85. $150 for 120GB is absurd.
