Duke Nukem 3D coming to Arcade on September 24

We’ve known for a while now that the beefed up version of Duke Nukem 3D is scheduled to appear on the Xbox Live Arcade sometime this month, but thanks to Game Trailers TV, we can now narrow down the game’s release date to September 24 which is less than two weeks away.

The Xbox Live Arcade edition won’t be your run-of-the-mill port, but a nicely upgraded re-release of the PC shooter classic. Besides featuring online multiplayer and co-op play for up to eight players, the game will also allow players to record game clips and rewind time at any point in a level.

We have a firm release date, however, the price is still being kept under wraps. How much do you think the game will sell for?

Replaying old classics only leads to disappointment. It was good in it’s day but it looks like complete crap now.

Exactly, that’s why nobody bought Doom on XBL. Oh wait…

The game is a classic. The game is uber.
However, Microsoft will probably attempt to skin us for 1600pts. Which is probably why they’re sitting on the price.
In which case the game can royally fuck off.

In this instance, they can charge what they like. It’s Duke Nukem 3D. I will be transforming into liquid form on 24th Sept for certain.

“Bring it!”

It’s a certain buy.

I’m looking forward to this, but I don’t want to spend more than 1200 points on it.

I’m expecting 1200 points, hoping for 800.

I wish it had support for widescreen. Hopefully it will allow you to stretch the screen. I really hate playing with borders.

Like many others… I have good memories of playing this game…. but if it is 1200pts I might have to pass on it. I’ve bought a buttload of points in the last few months… In fact I’m getting close to 100 arcade games…(92-93 around there) I think I need to start being a little more picky. If I had to start over…. I’d probably only buy about 20-25 of them.
But really I have no regrets. (Except Novadrome… it’s so bad I think I even deleted it.)

400 points

800 pts, if they do more I will just grab the demo for old times… something about pipe bombs and those laser minds makes a great time setting traps for my buddies to walk into.

1200 points max for me.

I think I first played this on the PC I owned when I was a freshman in high school… that computer has now been rotting in a landfill for the last 15 years or so, exactly where this game should be.

Another one bites the dust in the out tray of Skid Shithouse…

This game best resides in my memory of gaming as a kid, not on the HDD of my Xbox 360. It was great in its day, but I’d be hard-pressed to give up an hour to play this when I could be playing COD4.

800 max for me. I already own the game on the PC which I can play if I have a craving, the only thing this one will bring for me is some nostalgia and achievements.

800 was too much for DOOM, so I can’t see anything higher than 800 for DN3D.
