Xbox Live Ambassador program
So you’re always helping out noobs, showing them the ropes of Xbox Live but never got recognition for it? Microsoft’s going to change all that with their Ambassadors program. All you have to do is free up some space on your friendslist, drop Microsoft an email and have some patience with the new gamers. And you even get a forum icon in return!
So we’ve created the Xbox Ambassadors. These are community members who have been around the block and are willing to show the new guys around. We’ll be posting a list of Xbox Ambassador gamertags before the Free Xbox Live Gold Weekend sponsored by Verizon … so check back!
Are you willing to clear some space on your friends list and play nice with the new kids? You don’t have to speak a foreign language, know how to negotiate a trade agreement, or be at the top of the leaderboards. We’re looking for Xbox Live members who are friendly, helpful, and patient.

You must be an Xbox Live member in good standing (i.e. you’ve never been banned) to participate. Do a good job and there’s a forum icon in it for you.

Actually, it’s only on the American site, becuase it is only the Americans that get this free weekend.

yeah ponder, i’d think about it for marketplace points. i’m always helping noobs out anyway because i dont like to lose if my whole team sucks. i dont mind if its a fair game though.
I don’t really see it as working the entire weekend. I see it as, when I’m on, I help newbs. (The nice term rather than the derogatory “n00b”.) If I’m not, they go find someone who is.
I don’t think I can be arsed to show some yanks how to capture the flag on Halo 2, or use the cross-com/drone online in GRAW.
