Bikes to be introduced in Burnout Paradise next week

The long wait for all-new bikes to speed their way to the Junkyard in Burnout Paradise will soon be over, as Criterion has recently announced that the free Bikes Pack will be made available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace next week on Thursday, September 18.

In addition to introducing two-wheelers, specifically the Nakamura Firehawk V4 and the Nakamura FV1100, for the first time ever in the Burnout series, the Bikes Pack will also come packaged with the following additions:

  • Pick from 2 motorcycles featuring male or female characters and start on a whole new progression to earn your Bike License.
  • 38 new against-the-clock race events – Burning Ride and Midnight Ride.
  • A brand new in-game 24 hr day / night cycle that impacts traffic density and available events. (It’s fully customisable – you can make it day/night/change the clock speed – it’s up to you.)
  • Dynamic weather brings an all-new look to Paradise City
  • And if that’s not enough, we’ve got 70 more Freeburn Challenges too

Needless to say, it’s a dream-come-true batch of downloadable content that must not be missed!

The Burnout team has to be one of the better teams around, especially with how they listen to their community.

Not only that, they provide outstanding DLC for free. How can you beat that?

Definitely. One of the few EA franchises I actually like. Although Mercenaries 2 is absolutely top notch, minor glitches aside.

no Mercenaries 2 is crap

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, I guess, but man, what is there not to like in Merc 2? It’s just so much fun, especially in co-op just running around causing mass destruction with a friend. I haven’t found a good game this like in a while. Not since Rainbow Six Vegas 2, I would say.

Just goes to show, you can’t please everyone.

He’s just a troll, don’t bother.

I agree with you on Criterion. They’re one of my favorite developers…. and so far EA hasn’t f*cked things up.

I’ve never played Merc2 so I can’t comment.

As for this new content…. it sounds great. I haven’t played Paradise in a while, but I’ll definitely be checking this stuff out.
The only bad thing I’ve read is that the rider of the bike disappears when you crash. (or something like that) It would have been nice to see a rag doll guy or lady flying around the map…. but oh well. I’m grateful for what we’re getting. And the price is right.

Yeah, you can’t beat the old rag doll physics for a good laugh.

Trolling was suspected, as the comment was unsubstantiated and pointless hence why I didn’t rise to it.

Better luck next time Tony.

Yeah mercs 2 is alot of fun in co-op. Yeah it’s really buggy but it is fun and that’s what matters most.
If others don’t like it then fine but don’t trash other people that do!

everybody is allowed an opinion as some of you have said, thats just my opinion i aint trolling and don’t get offended by it

It might be worthwhile next time substantiating your opinion by saying why you didn’t like it. Just saying it’s crap doesn’t add anything to the thread. Or lend credence to your opinion. But then that’s just my opinion. ;-)

I wasn’t in the slightest bit offended, by the way. One person saying Merc 2 is crap does not detract from my opinion of it which is that there’s masses of fun to be had from it and, as has already been said, that is the key point.
