wow, What can i say…

The interface has been polished up and modernized, now it looks a lot cleaner. The speed of the game is perfect almost PES 5, great fun to play. Bloody hell even the replays are perfect.

I cannot wait to try the ‘Be a Legend’ mode, which looks to be the dogs bollocks. Fingers crossed that all of the positive points of the demo are portrayed in final release of the game!

Hard lines EA, it looks like the boys at Konami are back to their best. Which is great for all football fans.

Well done Seabass.

p.s. if the full version lags on line i am gonna have you! :-)

Modernist? have you lost it. If this is Konami back to their best as you say, I really do fear for the future in football games. They are taking PES backwards, i can’t beleive it.

Modernist comments spot on. I haven’t enjoyed a football game as much as this since pro evo 5 and I actually think this is better. what a game this will be be can’t wait to play Champions League!!!!!

Thank god I still play PES5 because of the sheer speed of the gameplay. I’m still only a tiny way through PES08 so i’ll probably wait a while before I buy.

Was it me or did pes2008 lag so much it almost looked like players were teleporting around the pitch????

yeah 2008’s was pretty lame both on and offline. By the looks of things it looks like these issues have been addressed and rectified. Only time will tell.

P.s. I played FIFA 09 a few nights ago, first time i have played it since Road to the world cup back in 1997/8. My mate was saying how good he was at it (his game) I won 6-0 first game 4-0 second game. Graphically and content wise the game is spot on, but i think it is more for little kids and Americans :-)Far to simple

Ok Ok, So I’ve played the new PES! It arrived this morning. I’m 100% a confessed PES addict even on PES2008 (which was below standards comparing to previous years). I’ve played the Become a Legend mode, as have I played the new Fifa09 Be a Pro mode. On comparing the 2, my opinion is that Fifa have worked so much harder on developing a mode that will keep you wanting to play, and better yourself throughout the game. The PES Be a Legend mode hasn’t got that same factor. You cant change the camera angle in game, which is very disappointing. And game play doesn’t seem anything like it has done in previous years. It seems slower than ever, making the whole experience somewhat a let down. :(
