Mirror’s Edge demo now on XBLM
With plenty of FPS titles on the horizon and even more in the past it was time for something new in this genre. Behold, the First-Person Action-Adventure (FPA) hits the already saturated market. It was tried before with several games but never really successfully. Mirror’s Edge is one of those games which could breathe some fresh air into this rather unknown genre. Mirror’s Edge is based on the sport Parkour (Free Running) which is very popular at the moment and even Assassin’s Creed used the concept to brighten up the crusading days. I really like it, kinda like first person crackdown without all the shooting. Once you get your flow going you can traverse the rooftops with ease. I don’t have problems with motion sickness but for non gamers I could see how it could make you a little quesy.

Finally a promising quality title from EA.
It’s a bit of a trick getting used to the controls but I do like the demo, very interesting. Especially the video short after you beat the demo.

This game is neato. Disarming people is a tad tricky but I’m sure it’s one of those things you gotta get used to.

wow, that was an impressive demo. the first thing i wanted to do when i finished it was play it again.
they coined the phrase, but i am going to use it… the game has flow. this is going on my, already pretty extensive, must have list.
I got it as soon as it hit the Playstation network, I didn’t need to be a gold member or a silver member or a bronze member or a purple pussy eater member, nothing, I just got it right away, got to play it and everything, with no waiting seven to ten days or any crap like that. Man you people don’t even realize how screwed over you are. When are you gonna wake the hell up?

Looks alright, but I’d feel dirty paying $59.99 for it. I’ll hold off until it drops in price, or just rent it if I get bored.
