Left 4 Dead opens with a bang

One thing is for sure; zombies are the mutt’s nuts. Valve was thinking the same when they started to develop Left 4 Dead. Unlike the George Romero zombies, which are the classic slow killers of the past, Valve decided to go with the infected style of 28 Days Later. With zombies infected chasing you and 3 buddies down the streets in online co-op this could become the best online experience this winter. The first 5 minutes of the game have been released by Valve for us to gloat upon. Check it out after the jump.

With the demo only a week away, this footage makes the waiting so much longer. All you lucky guys that have a pre-order running for this game can download the demo a few days earlier than the rest of the world, more specifically on November 6.

Although pre-ordering the game in order to get the demo sounds a bit silly (you usually use the demo to see if the game’s worthy of a purchase), there will most likely be quite a few people talking about the demo of Left 4 Dead as of November 6. Are you excited about this brutal co-op game and have a pre-order waiting to get delivered? Let us know in the comments below.

The retail game has been slated for a November 18 release on the Xbox 360 and PC.

They did that on purpose, to not reveal some things.

I put a preorder down on the game when I got Fallout 3. This looks like fun, assuming you can find three people who aren’t going to be jackasses and take off on you.

yep, their called friends…
but this is kinda bullshit, iv been waiting 8 months for this game, but theres no need to pre-order, now its to late, and what? I cant play the demo or something?

All my “friends” play nothing but Madden and NBA 2K9, so I have to play with random people. I lead a shallow and lonely life.

uh nice dude. way to sound like a jackass. a - resident evil is a great, revered series and b - left 4 dead is nothing like it. i played this game already at PAX and i can tell you it’s quite fun. exactly what it promises to be and it delivers. i played the demo 3 times and it was never the same and still fun every time. i’m really liking valve’s direction as of late.

Back to your cave, troll boy!

Resident Evil is a 4 player online co-op FPS? I really should have gotten into those games way back when…

I guess you’d know what a jackass sounds like, you where obviously raised by two of them. Now back to my cave.

And the hits keep coming… you’re the one wasting your life by indulging in pointless negativity for it’s own sake.

The point has been clearly stated already. Resident Evil was never an online co-op shooter. It was an offline single player third person survival horror game with a degree of puzzle solving adventuring to boot. This game is none of that.

Trying looking at the facts before spouting off your half baked opinions.

Who’s the jackass now? You, the jury decide. The prosecution rests.
