Call of Duty: WaW Beta now open for everyone

The Call of Duty website has officially announced that the Call of Duty: World at War Beta is now available for everyone to download on the Marketplace. With the beta previously only available for those with a special access token, it has now become a demo in disguise for everyone to check out. If you weren’t one of the lucky few with a token you should definitely try this excellent “demo” so you can judge for yourself if Treyarch can top the unprecedentedly good Call of Duty 4.

Use the following directions to download the public beta now:

  • Go to Xbox Live Marketplace
  • Find Call of Duty: World at War in either the “New Releases,” “Games,” or “Demos” section of Xbox Live Marketplace
  • Click on CoD: World at War and you will see the Multiplayer Beta available
  • Download the Beta and prepare yourself for the addictive multiplayer action Call of Duty is known for!

If you were still undecided about spending your cash, this is a great opportunity for you to try the game before the November 11 worldwide release of this latest iteration in the Call of Duty series which will take place in a WWII setting for the last time.

Get your flamethrowers and samurai-swords out of the closet and let us know how much you love or hate the beta in the comments below.

Finally, enough of WW2 Games.

Seriously done to death that one. More Modern Combat style games.

I’m with you, but there will eventually reach a point where we will all be tired of fighting in the middle east.

Does the rumour still stand that Infinity Ward’s next COD game will be set in the future?

@ Fanny

COD4 Took place in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Russia, who’s to say that modern warfare has to situate primarily over the Middle East to mirror the current War?

However, I’m tired of this bullshit war we have to begin with. Why are we in Iraq? Why we helping them when they won’t even help themselves? I know what it is that’s going on with the Shiites (Shits) and the Kurds (Turds) and the Sunni’s (Can’t think of one) so I’m not dense. But damn, why waste our billions if they’re gonna blow it up? Why waste our lives if they’re gonna blow it up?

Yeah we saw how that worked out pretty well in our favor, hasn’t it? *ahem $4/gal*

Oil has started to go down again, it dropped from about $150/barrel to About $60 in just a couple of months. Surely the fuel prices in US have starte dto go down again, they have here in UK. Petrol is back down to less than £1/litre.

Yeah it’s cheaper here now, the cheapest it’s been in… 4 years? But that’s only because reports indicate that people drive less now, small demand = smaller price.

So it would appear the beta has been removed from Marketplace. Why has this been done?

beta was closed on Nov. 10th because the game shipped on Nov. 11th.

It wasn’t a demo.
