Halo Wars Limited Collector’s Edition details revealed
In this age of disappearing exclusive titles, Halo Wars is set to be a very important game for Microsoft and the Xbox 360 console (not to mention the swan song for Ensemble Studios). As with all important titles, Halo Wars will receive the “Limited Collector’s Edition” treatment. So what extras can gamers expect from this premium version?
If we can believe the details released by Microsoft, gamers can expect plenty of extras in exchange for a few more $$$.
The biggest selling point for the Halo Wars Limited Collector’s Edition will no doubt be the inclusion of the first three maps of the Mythic Map Pack for Halo 3. The premium bundle will include the Assembly, Orbital and Sandbox map. The addition of these maps will excite the millions of gamers who still play and enjoy Halo 3 on a daily basis. The maps will also unlock new achievements possibilities within Halo 3.
Another item of great interest will be the Halo Wars: Genesis graphic novel. Genesis will retell the events of the first military conflict between humans and the Covenant. Genesis will be penned by none other than Eric Nylund, author of the Halo novels “The Fall of Reach”, “First Strike” and “Ghosts of Onyx”. The task of illustrating this graphic novel has been handed to Phil Noto, best known for his work on the comic series “Chuck” and “Jonah Hex”. The project is being supervised by Graeme Devine, lead designer on Halo Wars.
If the two preceding items were not enough to up-sell the game, maybe the inclusion of a unique in-game “Honour Guard” wraith, six “leader cards” and a “Spirit of Fire” patch will sway your opinion. All this goodness can be yours for only $20 above than the standard edition price (currently set at $59.99 US).

Now that you are sold on this premium bundle, rush out to a participating retailer and pre-order your copy today (no mention of who these participating retailers are) and receive a code to download another special in-game warthog decked out with flame decals. Now let’s just hope Microsoft and Ensemble Studios do not pull a Fable II on us.
Halo Wars and Halo Wars Limited Collector’s Edition will arrive on store shelves sometime in February 2009.

Looks Ok I guess.
I’m kinda pissed at the Gears of War2 Limited I just got. I live in Canada, & 4 those that don’t know, when you buy a game in Canada, you always get an “extra” french language manual to the game. (Which goes right in the garbage) Well this time, instead of the extra french part being tacked on to the outside, an English flimsy version of the “Beneath The Surface” (The art book) was tacked on…. and the french version inside is a nice Hard Cover version. WTF? Total Bullshit.
I’m wondering if all the Canadian versions are like this? Please let me know.
*Sorry about going off topic. I needed to rant.
Sadly yes. My own copy is like this, and two of my friends who also got the collectors have hardcover french/”flimsy” english art books.
I have 3 friends with the same problem. I ordered my copy from Amazon.ca and did not receive it yet, so I cannot comment. Does not bug me much as I can read French no problem, but my friends are indeed not very happy. For the record, I never had this problem with other premium editions.
*for the millions of gamers who enjoy halo 3 on a daily basis*
Um no! Don’t exagerate!
b.net:- Unique players last 24 hours 210,000ish. That’s no where *millions*
Try on a weekend.
This is a MUST BUY for me!
Deffiniton Daily:Happening or done every day: i.e the physician’s daily rounds.
if a million gamers play on the weekend only it’s not daily you retard.
just forthe sake of argument, what is the percentage of xbox 360s without xbox live?
You my freind are a forty year old N00B who lives with his parents.
You know what? no.
Okay, maybe for the mythic map packs but I don’t exactly have high hopes for this game. I might get the graphic novel though.
no

CRAP! Pure crap!
From the PS3? Yeah I agree.
Ah yes pure crap as apposed to the diluted version of crap thts 50% crap free.
blame quebec for requiring practically everything in canada to have french plastered somewhere. good thing fable ii doesn’t have bilingual covers. when shopping at amazon.ca, compare the ASIN number with amazon.com. if it’s the same number then you know it’ll be plain english.
