Ninja Blade demo hits Japanese Marketplace
Today gamers in Japan will get their hands on the new demo Ninja Blade, a new action game to be released by FromSoftware. This demo should give us insight of whether or not the developer has arrived at their goal to create a “cinematic action game.” While our fellow Japanese gamers test the demo to see if this goal has been reached, the rest of us may be waiting till its time of release as no other regional demos have been confirmed.
What is left to be seen is whether Ninja Blade will able to distinguish itself from many of the other ninja actions games in the marketplace today, specifically its toughest competitor Ninja Gaiden II, released this past June.
The game is to arrive on Japanese shelves on January 29th with the rest of the world lagging behind a few days with a February 3rd release date. But luckily for those of you who want to prepare yourselves for the release, the theme song can be downloaded on Itunes today for $0.99, under the song name beanstalk, artist Yuki Koyanagi.
The demo of this on display at the Tokyo Game Show looked a lot like Ninja Gaiden. It had some differences, but didn’t stand out that much to me.

Agreed. They are both likely to suck, but I’m not about to remain silent when homophobia rears its ugly head. This kind of shit needs to stop. It is very sad that in these supposedly enlightened times that people still hold these ridiculous points of view.
Manodestra i can understand where your coming from with not finding homophobic comments funny, and not to agree with 88 but when someone calls someone else a fag these days its usualy just an insult, the person calling them a fag probably arent thinking about its core meening - just like most insults.
I’m not an easily offended person, but when an insult involves racism, homophobia or anything that denegrates an entire section of society, then I start to get really uncomfortable and need to address it. It may be throwaway to some who don’t realise the context, but that makes it all the more important that they need to be made to realise how offensive they really are when they use this kind of hateful language. “Fag”, “Faggot” and “That is so gay” seem to be common Americanisms used regularly on this board and I’ve heard them several times on XBox Live also. No one can afford to use these expressions lightly without realising the depth of their meaning and impact on other people.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was good but definitely should have been an system seller but clearly was not. For those that played it through, know that the gameplay was improved, but the story and game design was weaker.
This game have QTE which Ninja Gaiden never had. Ninja Blade seems to have more in common with Otogi.
The story has never been a strong point. Usually the people that play NG only care about killing shit, and that’s really what the game is all about.

The camera in Ninja Gaiden was awful. Without full control of the camera it placed itself back in the days of previous gen games. With full control of the camera it could have been a far better game.
