Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 dated

For those of you who enjoyed the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, we’ve got some great news. Infinity Ward at GDC has shown some new footage, and let some great information out on when we’ll be playing the next iteration.

Kotaku reports that a new trailer was shown and describes it for us:

The trailer starts with the Infinity Ward logo, with background noise on a green waveform turning into a series of human shaped silhouettes, then an elevator door. The perspective changes to inside the elevator, still in green sound outlines. The elevator descends, opening up to what appears to be an airport security line. Then a hail of gunfire, a flash of green tinted action shots and ultimately the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 logo.

Nice!

The date of release? November 10, 2009. So go to your local game store and preorder, because if you base your sales predictions from the COD:MW to COD:MW2, there might not be any left. Will you be buying this?

let’s hope this one is a little more difficult…
no game should take less than 24 hours to beat on the hardest difficulty setting.
