The first of April can be quite an annoying day for a gamer browsing the internet for news, as many sites, and even developers enjoy messing with the masses and putting out fake news. Yet one of the most impressive was Volition’s prank video announcing the inclusion of an Ostrich Hammer. Many people said this addition would make the game a first-day buy. Well, the good news is this was more than an April Fools prank. As the Ostrich Hammer had already been made as a Hammer unlockable for multiplayer in Red Faction Guerrilla.

The video and Hammer itself was an amazing response to NeoGAF comments regarding a leaked batch of pre-alpha build screenshots. Looks like good things can come from pictures being leaked onto the internet early. Get ready to be birdf***ed?
