New Zune HD Touchscreen in the works!
Images from a forthcoming Microsoft Marketing Campaign lead us to believe that a brand spanking new ZuneHD model has been in development for some time. Although no specifications have been given, if the artwork rumours are accurate it seems the ZuneHD gadget will be a HD resolution touchscreen device with a smart widescreen display.

Looking at the image it seems the new model will resemble the current Zune player except with only one main center button. If the device is capable of showing high resolution videos as having a HD tag implies with a touchscreen interface, then it is sure to rival the new Apple Ipod Touch.
Xboxic in the past have brought you up to date with Zune developments and more details will be posted in the future when official release details with specifications are made public.
We will keep you posted.

I had an Ipod and I liked it, it gave me what I wanted and at the time when the first Zune came out, I wouldn’t give it second thought.
Then my ipod broke (and wouldn’t you know it, my warranty expired months ago and Apple doesn’t cover ‘Ipod left in pants in washer’) so I needed another portable music player.
I tried the Itouch, returned it two days later, it was too much just for simply wanting to listen to music, plus my biggest worry was the screen breaking and trust me, I’ve seen Iphones, Itouch(es?) screen break for other people. I mean I’m at work, or riding my bike, or walking my dog, I’m not going to watch videos for that.
So then I did a comparison to the new Zune, I got the 8 gig model and I’m happy with it. 10 dollars cheaper, wifi capability to my PC and 360, plus an FM radio receiver? The only downside was the 20 hour battery life compared to a similar like model of the Apple’s brand, 24 hours. However I’m thinking they had to sacrifice battery space for a radio reciever and at the end of the day, I still have enough juice left.
The front screen interface is nice, it lets you customize the background picture and it’s very easy to navigate after about 30 seconds to familiarize yourself (if you’re an Ipod user, make it some 45 sec to a minute).
All in all, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and I recommend it for all to try.
I prefer my 80 GB Zune.
Because of the Halo mobile news it is now rumoured that the Zune HD will be compatible with that and Xbox Community Games which could be downloaded through its own store.
Personally the Community games are all crap and belong on mobile phones to the pass the boredom of long journeys.
