Xbox not getting a Tomb Raider Legend intro
Fresh from the rumor mill one of our own Deep Throats has whispered into our ears that the Xbox version of Tomb Raider: Legend will not be having an intro movie. Not because it didn’t fit on the disc or the system couldn’t run it, no they simply forgot to include it in the final build.
When an Xbox or Xbox 360 game is finished, the developers make one final disc which is then sent off to Microsoft’s Quality Assurance team for final testing. For the Xbox version, the developers forgot to include the intro movie and didn’t find out about that until after the game had passed final certification. The QA department was more than willing to add the file ofcourse…. adding in that it would mean they’d have to restart the full validation process, and charge the usual full fee again for that process. Eidos took the simple, quick and cheap way out, since it’s not expected to affect the game or its sales in any way and they have a fixed deadline to meet.
The game is currently Gold obviously and yours to buy on April 7th on all platforms except PSP.

that is what happens when you rush a product out the door because your pressured.
maybe that is what happened with halo 2 ending.
Hopefully they didn’t forget to make it a great game…..
I dont think this happened because they were pressured, I think it happened because they just had a dumb moment. Regardless, funny as hell, I really dont care about intros so it makes no difference to me.
when was the last time anything that had to do with tombraider was good? i can’t remember.
So, to be clear, is the 360 version not getting an intro, either? Or is this just an Xbox 1 issue?
360 does have the intro, it’s just the producer of the Xbox version that honestly forgot it. Xbox version is already Gold even though it’s only being released April 7th, so no rush job either.

PSP is not gettings a version because it’s getting it’s own version. Sweet.

Hmm, I thought PSP was getting TR:Legend, only DS isn’t getting it.
Actually the DS version got announced a few days after we had posted this article.
PSP is getting it but released later, currently slated for April 16th release.
Which version/region does that “forgotten intro movie” refer to ? PAL or NTSC ?
I tested the PAL-Version (Europe) today and there is an intro !
