E3 2009: The return of the booth babes!

The last couple of years at E3 have been a major scale down over recent years, though this year it seems like the convention is returning to its big bad self. Arguably the best part of all this is the recent news that the Entertainment Software Association has allowed exhibitors to again use booth babes to give us something nice to look at draw some extra attention themselves again this year. Yay!

Back in 2006, a strict dress code was enforced effectively banning booth babes. The official rules at the time read:

Material, including live models, conduct that is sexually explicit and/or sexually provocative, including but not limited to nudity, partial nudity and bathing suit bottoms, are prohibited on the Show floor, all common areas, and at any access points to the Show, ESA, in its sole discretion, will determine whether material is acceptable.

disobeying these rules would result in one warning, fail to hide all the skin and be fined 5000 USD on the spot. Any offending models would be re-clothed immediately, what men could bring themselves to do that?
Since then E3 heavily downsized to make publishers focus on their products over elaborate set-ups with half naked women parading around to draw people in. Only this year, E3 is back, and it seems horny. The ESA estimate around 40,000 trade-only visitors will attend.

Are sexy girls exactly what E3 needs to get it back on track? Who knows, but it will definitely make it nicer to watch.

men like women.

In other news, water is confirmed to be wet while in a liquid state, and homemade pasta sauce is better than store bought.

Now back to Jim with the weather…..Jim.

Censor! Censor! IC staff censors! Way to go keeping your readers when you mute them.

Things mentioned in here weren’t about news discussions and were encouraging others to have a go at writers. Its not censorship - its called delete the shit!

This isn’t turning into an argument between yourself and me. You’ve had your say.

Do this shit again, you’ll see your visitor count drop so fast, Playstation IC will have more movement in traffic.

I don’t find it appropriate that you deleted a valuable comment and those following it and call it a troll when it obviously wasn’t. When we say it’s a troll, it’s a troll, not for you to decide.

You’ve done it again, come here - argue and bring up other issues… smitty a moment ago - now Playstatic. You’re proving my point today.

What point are you proving here, you haven’t said anything to defend your actions. Plus these other issues I’m bringing up are relevant, and if you’re gonna be a thick idiot who can’t connect the dots, I want to know who thought it wise to give you any control.

Whoa guys chill out, Jay deleted comments for me cause i was at work, he was just covering for me me and deleted all posts associated with that one post, we all cover our own comments unless we are busy like i have been today. Don’t not comment. As long as i cover my own comments only post i deem to be completely out of order will be deleted. Can we all just relax and focus on the fact we get to see some titties. Please don’t tel my girlfriend i said that.

“Can we all just relax and focus on the fact we get to see some titties. Please don’t tel my girlfriend i said that.”

LOL, Make sure you pick some nice pics for any future E3 news!

Im all for anyone commenting and encourage it like all ICGamers Crew. Abusing the commenting system, abusing the crew just isn’t fair game when we put our efforts into writing news for people to read. Arguments, negative and positive comments do not get wiped to suit. People are free to respond and reply but comments deleted/edited today are personal attacks on my actions, not about anything useful or interesting contributions to the news or to start a debate.

Commenting is great - abusing us all isn’t !

Andrews, you are a disillusioned moderator here.

“Anything useful or interesting contributions to the news” was exactly what it was today. First it was a reader’s comment that started it all due to the author’s personal affluence in the article (like I’ve been saying all this time), and when we ‘argued’ on the commentator’s views, it was deleted not by the author, but a disillusioned moderator who thought we were trollin’ and hatin’.

Then, after it was all deleted, and in particular, my one comment being edited without my permission and subsequently deleted, that I waged a personal censorship war here. All my valid arguments and points have been raised and further still have been deleted when it was “about anything useful or interesting contributions to the news”.

Hey delete my posts, don’t worry, enough people here know I’m smart enough and you make yourself look bad. Your site is not doing so bad, you, Jason Andrews, are making it worse.

Let’s play Jeopardy.

Answer: Stalin’s Soviet, North Korea, communist China and certain Xboxic editors.

Question: Name four institutes that can’t deal with criticism and promotes censorship.

To prove my point, PLEASE delete this as well, Xboxic staff. I beg you to!

Can you stop spouting shit in my comments section now. Its getting annoying, either you like looking at some tits or you don’t, stop being so anal about everything.

How can I say that when that last guy who said something about it got his comment deleted? What’s the point?

WooT Woot….Booth babes!!! E3’s back Baby!!!

Will you two Kiss and make up …PLEASE!!!

I like the site with less Bull$–T!!!

I can remember rushing to buy a magazine called: SEGA POWER to get information on what happened at E3 in 1995, because at that time I badly wanted the new super ‘Sega Saturn’ - no internet back then so relied on Games Magazines to be informed and I had stackfulls and stackfulls !

That never worked. Censor my foul mouth instead then.

Lick my sweaty stringy monkey balls, stroke them even. You like that? Yes you do, they are hairy like a monkey and soft like you. Bitch. I pull your mothers cunt over my head and I wear her like a mother shaped hat. I wore her to the races and won a prize for the best hat, but it was taken back off my after her herpes started to run down my cheek.

Censorship - stories like that will earn you good money! Ripping yourself off publishing things like that for free here :)

It will definitely bring back some of the atmosphere that has been missing. I’m glad I will be going :)
