Games convention comes to London [Rescheduled]

For anyone in and around London towards the end of June has the chance to see and maybe even test out some hot new games from publishers with the likes of Capcom, EA, Sony and Nintendo. All you have to do is book yourself a ticket and manage to survive the London underground to Kensington Olympia. More after the jump.

Of course this is nothing in comparison to next weeks E3, but for anyone in the UK who cannot afford a trip to the US, this is the next best thing. The event will be taking place on the 20th and 21st of June at Kensington Olympia National Hall. Tickets are £5.00 online or £8.00 on the door. Please read updated information below.

Olympia National Hall, soon to be swarmed by gamers

So far Capcom are the only ones to give any solid details on what they shall be bringing to the show, their line-up (so far) is as follows:

  • Lost Planet 2
  • Dark Void
  • Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles
  • Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
  • Spyborgs
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2
  • Resident Evil Wii-make

Sounds good. Anyone planning on attending should let us know in the comments section. Xboxic plans on having at least a mini-review of the weekends fun and excitement. Stay tuned!

UPDATE:

The London GameOn! Event has now rescheduled and will now be held at Earls Court on 14th and 15th November! Information taken directly from the official event site reads:

What do I do if I have already bought a ticket for June?
Please be aware that GameOn! London is offering a full refund on all tickets purchased to date or up to four additional complimentary tickets for the November event, so if you want to keep a hold of your ticket, you can now take four friends with you, on either of the two days.

Whether you would like a full refund or the complimentary tickets, please email us at gameonlondon@ukesa.com and let us know what you would prefer and we will then arrange accordingly.

It looks like a waste of time, 3 publishers with 3 weeks to go, tickets were £8 now slashed to £4 in the vain hope of getting gamers. Once again the UK games industry fails to inspire. There were more publishers at the MCM Expo last week and over 30,000 people so why is Gameon the largest UK show when it has not even happened?

? …who said it was the largest UK show…

It’s now been moved til November and a change of location too - Earls Court! now that’s a good venue so I wonder if this event is being made bigger and better…
