E3 09: Halo: Reach Confirmed.

Halo: Reach is the new project from Bungie which will be released sometime in 2010. No great amount of information has been revealed, but the good news is that a Beta is on the way for anyone who pre-orders the upcoming Halo3: ODST expansion to Halo3

An E3 09 Trailer revealing some of the project is below:

Halo: Reach looks to be another extension of the Halo universe, with Spartans battling for survival all over again. With a Beta soon on the way, could this ever be as big as the mighty Halo3?

It is unclear if Masterchief will return for this outing, but we’ll bring you more information when it is available.

IIRC, Master Chief wasn’t at Reach when it was glassed, though, several of his SPARTAN II friends and graduates were.

I do not remember correctly.

He *WAS* there, he just wasn’t on the surface like his buddies. Instead, he was already on the Pillar of Autumn when the rest of the Covenant fleet arrived to bombard the planet. That’s when he went into cryosleep and Keyes ordered Cortana to initiate a ‘random’ jump.

No, he was there, and he managed to escape at the right time as shortly after, Reach was glassed.

This looks great, but I thought they said the Halo title series was over, and they’d be moving to something else?

Yeah they did say that, I’ve just had a row on Halo3 with some guy who keeps saying how fucked up it is that you can play the Halo Reach beta when ODST is out, even though the final game wont be out til Fall 2010.

Im pretty sure logically it wont work like that, I am sure that everyone who buys ODST gets the beta access through an in game menu, but it never stated that the Beta was live on ODST release day. People are just assuming I think…or maybe I am wrong, but I doubt it.

Yeah, I highly doubt the beta will be out that early. There’s no way they’ve been working on the game long enough to have a beta ready by September.

ODST= 500 million dollars at least. New Halo (maybe Halo 5)= 800 million or more. Why the hell would they give it up!!!

Halo 5? What about halo 4!

They won’t have it live day 1, more like months later in a popped up in-game menu like they did in Crackdown with Halo 3 beta.
