Microsoft respond to Project Natal Console rumours
Following from our recent report of an upcoming redesigned Xbox360 console complete with Project Natal, Microsoft have played down those rumours in an interview with Eurogamer, stating that whilst ‘Project Natal’ is delivering a next generation experience this generation, no new console investment will be necessary

Aaron Greenberg, director of product management, told Eurogamer: “I think part of the excitement about this announcement is that in many ways we are delivering a next generation experience this generation. With that said, I can confirm that Natal will run on Xbox 360 so no new console investment will be necessary.”
Another senior Microsoft source familiar with Project Natal said: “Don’t believe nonsense on the internet is all I’ll say. We’ll do the right thing for Natal.”
Yesterday, TeamXbox also claimed that Microsoft’s next new console would not launch in 2010 because they have details which will soon confirm the next-gen future Xbox will use “full HD stereoscopic 3D visuals”, which require new televisions which are not readily available yet. TeamXbox claim to be able to reveal the details of the future Xbox console within the next few weeks.
Until Microsoft themselves release an official press release, let us just enjoy the console we have right now - what do you think?

full hd stereoscopic 3d visuals… i just came
I refer back to my post on the article posting this rumor.
“I am calling false on this one. They have already stated many times that this will be compatible with all current and future Xbox 360s.”
oooh so you are one those people who like to say “I told you so…”
You win!
Not only are stereoscopic TVs and monitors available, most current GPUs can output stereoscopic graphics if the software is written to support it.
So… I can see 3D? Will I need special 3D glasses?
Hmm..
I just came.
No, some types of TV’s require glasses - but the new ones that are to be made more widespread don’t.
