Ninety Nine Nights hands on

Teamxbox got up-close and personal with the latest build of Ninety Nine Nights on the GameDevelopers Conference. The game is shaping up pretty neatly for it’s North-American release later this year. However there’s still no sign of the Marketplace demo and an exact releasedate has not yet been specified.

Even though we sampled the same gameplay moments at GDC as we did at TGS last summer, Ninety-Nine Nights is coming along as it should. The funky framerate issues have disappeared, which was the only thing that bothered us about the gameplay in Tokyo. Visually, Ninety-Nine Nights is looking amazing at this stage. Post production effects (helped along by the next-gen resolution) are striking. Depth of field blurs troops of enemies until they come upon your position. Arrows leave trails as razor-sharp as their points. And enemy counts are stratospheric, but not as cookie cutter as you would expect. Quite simply, Ninety-Nine Nights will easily be the best looking Xbox 360 game when it lands on our shores, whenever that is.

I just wanna know about a European release. I have been dying to get this game since I saw it last year. If all else fails im hoping for a region-free game. But not really optimistic on that. But for such a big game M$ must release it in EU, or they mad ;)

It’ll come to Europe; http://www.xboxic.com/news/55 :)
