Halo3: The Vidmaster Road to Recon
The Halo3 Recon Armor for some is one of the most sought after Armor Permutations because of its limited supply. The armor can only be unlocked by doing something that makes Bungie feel you deserve it, such as a Forge map, screenshot, or machinima (but this is a rarity). Now with the upcoming release of ‘Halo3: ODST’ by completing all 7 of the Vidmaster Achievements below - you will unlock your very own Recon Armor for use in Halo3 Multiplayer.
The Vidmaster Achievements require you to own both Halo3 and Halo3: ODST, although the latter will come shipped with a seperate Halo3 Multiplayer disc - one of the Vidmasters require you to have the Halo3 Campaign.
All 7 Vidmaster Achievements to obtain Recon Armor are listed below:
Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7 - 0 GamerScore
Entered into a ranked or social playlist with 7 EXP on the 7th of the month.
Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch - 0 GamerScore
Got the rank of Lieutenant in any playlist in the new EXP progression system.
Vidmaster Challenge: Annual - 0 GamerScore
After 9/25/08, completed Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts.
Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan - 0 GamerScore
Find all the hidden skulls on the Mythic maps.
Vidmaster Challenge: Endure – 25 GamerScore
In Firefight, on any mission, passed the 4th Set on 4-player Heroic LIVE co-op.
Vidmaster Challenge: Déjà vu – 25 GamerScore
Completed Highway on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and no ‘Hog or Scorpion.
Vidmaster Challenge: Classic – 25 GamerScore
Finished any level solo on Legendary, on LIVE, with no shots fired or grenades thrown.
This story follows from our reveal of the Halo3: ODST achievements and is the only sure fire way to guarantee yourself to unlock the Recon Armor.

Getting Annual was kind of a bitch for me, because two of the kids I played with sucked ass and died CONSTANTLY.
Yeah I managed to get it in one go - That Vidmaster Challenge: Classic sure sounds tough! Complete 1 level on Legendary without so much as firing a bullet or throwing a grenade
The Vidmaster Challenge: Classic does not make sense… it says to complete a level SOLO on legendary on LIVE
While connected to Xbox Live.
Trying to do all these challenges but everytime I try the Annual one something happens keep playing with idiots who need to go out half way through
I assume for the classic however you will be able to melee enemies instead!

that just means we have to do an entire level with the gravity hammer or plasma sword
Assuming those weapons are in there…since I think it refers to a Halo3 ODST level
If i can’t win Recon on Bungie day then the fist thing i do is gona be go for the vidmasters to rock recon as soon as possible.
Brainpan is worth 25 Gamerscore. It is the only Halo 3 Vidmaster worth Gamerscore.
