Gears of War Book: Jacinto’s Remnant
If you just can’t get enough of Gears of War, then a new book will be right up your street. Titled ‘Jacinto’s Remnant’ and released on the very same day as ‘Dark Corners‘ DLC for Gears 2, the story picks up as Jacinto is sinking into the earth while Marcus, Dom and the rest of Delta Squad work to lead the city’s refugees to safety.
The author Karen Traviss has previously written the official prequel ‘Gears of War: Aspho Fields’ as well as many other Star Wars novels -she is a science fiction author and full-time novelist from Wiltshire, England. Originally from the Portsmouth area, Traviss worked as both a journalist and defence correspondent before turning her attention to writing fiction.
Gears of War: Jacinto’s Remnant will be released on July 28th 2009

hmmm…. i love reading but the idea of reading a game, so to speak, never really intrested me.
…and as i picked up the boomshot, i was ready to do some damage. As i was looking around, i saw an enemy, and performed a successful active reload. Loaded up, aimed and boom. Here to find out, i shot my teamate in the chest. I didnt see his gamertag above his head. I went over and touched his back and he was alive again like nothing had ever happened.

Well as sad as it is I have read the Halo books and the Mass Effect books, might give these a try its kinda nice knowing a bit of a back story!
I am currently reading the first book ‘Aspho Fields’ and it really is an amazing read.
It gives you an insight of the book from a new and interesting prespective. Its a very different but still great experience reading about the Gears of War series in a book.
I really do recomennd that Gears fans read this book!
