Alan Wake now Xbox360 Exclusive

Remedy Entertainment has revealed that ‘Alan Wake‘ is now an Xbox 360 exclusive since completely scrapping the PC version of the title. The game’s lead writer Sam Lake has stated that the team is now fully concentrated on the Xbox 360 version.

A Remedy Entertainment spokesperson in an interview with Digital Spy confirmed:

The firm is “currently working exclusively” on Alan Wake for the console and that any decision on a potential PC version now rests solely with publisher Microsoft Games.

“Our PC plans are currently open [and] therefore a joint PC/Xbox launch is not possible at this late stage,” said the representative.

“Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and we would love to see a PC version available for our PC followers. Ultimately, however, this is a decision that lies with our publisher.”

The title which feels like it has been in development forever is still yet to get an official release date.

Sounds good, all the more reason for those still Xbox 360-less go get an Xbox :).

Its kind of getting to the point where I don’t really care about Alan Wake, but the fact it is exclusive is very nice and the delays have meant it will look prettier too so I guess I can wait a little bit longer… maybe

I think it will end up like Alone in the Dark, a big build up to a disappointing predictable mess… but I know I wont be able to help myself by getting this, I’ve wanted it for so long - but too long!

I’ve lost interest in this title. Isn’t it basically Silent Hill?
