MS have Banned unauthorised 360 Memory

Earlier this year we had informed you of the new Datel 16GB Xbox360 Memory Card which sells at a very reasonable price. Also available to buy are non MS storage device memory cards and larger hard-drives which have not been authorised by Microsoft. These devices are now being banned by the console and will be unusable.

Major Nelson posted the following information in his blog:

When Preview Program members start receiving the Xbox 360 system update next week, one of the changes is that unauthorized Memory Units will no longer work with the Xbox 360. If you’ve moved your profile or saved games onto one to “back it up,” you’d better move it back onto an authorized Xbox 360 storage device prior to taking the update. If you continue to use an unauthorized Memory Unit after the update, you will not be able to access your stored profile or saved games.

It is not yet known how non MS hard drive connectors are affected - those which attach to the console between the console and the HDD to allow you HDD access from a PC.

If you are using a non Microsoft storage device on your console, make sure you move your data to a compatible device before accepting any update.

robbing twats its this sort of thing that makes people anti MS all they would have to do instead is bring the same products out for the same prices and most people would buy the MS branded stuff. But no inflate the prices of their own products and force them to use them.Isn’t it nice to be a valued customer

I’m no fanboy when I say this, but I still stand by my purchase of a 360.
It’s not like I’m going to buy a memory card anyway!

I don’t own or need a memory card but I must admit that this is a real shitty thing to do!
This is just another reason for people to hate Microsoft!!

Don’t take no shit stumps, even though you have doubled Bill gates bank account with the amount of games you buy.

Is anyone really surprised by this my move i am not, it doesn’t affect me as i don’t use any said devices or ever will, still as stumpa says i will just add this to the reasons not to upgrade my 360 to the next M$ console.

That and you regularly cream over your PS3?

Anyways, talking about bans. Guess who just got a two week ban from the Forza 3 storefront.

Seems like someone took offence at my “This Rides better than your mum” design.

Don’t know if it was the slogan or the picture of some flabby tits that done it.
