MW2 Prestige Cheaters get Suspensions
Hell hath no fury like a Microsoft scorned - a recent announcement has been made by an official member of the Xbox Live Team that soon all those who have obtained Prestige levels from ‘Modern Warfare 2′ illegitimately will get suspended from Xbox Live.
The announcement titled: Modern Warfare 2 Cheaters (and you know who you are)
People who have obtained prestige illegitimately, will be given suspensions. People soliciting other people to gain prestige (whether for free, or for points) will be permanently suspended.
To all those users who are attempting to play MW2 without cheating, please have faith. Hang in there, because the cheaters are being caught and the game will be patched.

I am hoping however that they realise that some people unknowingly got prestige when those private lobbies were made public - but they did patch that! They should only suspend people who obtained prestige after that patch was released because people knowingly prestiged. (if you get my drift)

Good News!! I play mostly hardcore headquarters and the damn care package and airdrop glitchers ruin those games. And they are in almost every game I get in. Maybe the patch will come soon for that aswell. I use marathon lightweight and steady aim and I cannot go outside a buiding with all the glitched choppers and harriers hoverin roun. I will not change my game for glitches Ill just stop playin.

The cheaters make this game so unenjoyable that I actually put Halo 3 back in yesterday.

People are making this out to be worse than it is. I hardly ever see any of this stuff going on and I play everyday. Most people wait till the middle of a match to call there carepacks, that doesn’t make them cheaters. Though it’s not pleasent if your on the losing team to get pounded like that. I’ve had a Pavelow, attack chopper, and a harrier in the air at the same time with no cheating. Face it some people just suck and can’t get killstreaks, that’s not my fault. If I’m having a bad day I’ll just set my killstreaks lower, problem solved.
trust me. you must not play at all then because throught the past week its gotten bad. i played 12 games just today. and 7 of them i couldn’t find anyone. untill you reach a corner on the map and you find 3-5 people care package glitching. my stats are way to good to be waisted by cheaters so i think i’ll sit this one out untill its fixed. this is out of controll and i already lost interest in this game.

I do have a PS3, but only really use it for blu ray movies - I have however quit playing Modern Warfare 2 since its just ruined now, Ive been thinking fo going back to CoD4 LOL or possibly even CoD3 since that was the last ever cheat free game I remember!

Let me first point out the obvious. Cheats and exploits ruin the game for the majority of people. However, the REAL problem here is shotty game development. I work in the software industry so I know full well that you cannot always determine how your customers are going to use your software. They will find the most absurd things you would never think of. With that said, it is the job of a developer to think like your customer. How any of this crap got through the QA process and into the release is beyond me. Handing your finished product to a small group of gamers would have brought these problems to light long before it was actually released. A shame really…

MW2 took the Gears of War 2 route except on a bigger scale.
Due to the big amount of hackers and modders on xbox 360 and the ps3 it is out of xbox live team’s hands to ban all.The people that are 10th prestige with less than 10 days of gameplay hve 80% chance of getting banned and those who have modded having 2 seconds of gamplay and bilions of score will 100% be banned and removed from the leaderboards.
Microsoft and infinity ward are also concerned about the peopl teaching or doing the mod so if you are one of those people be ready for suspension of your xbox and gamertag.
To all those who are going in games and reporting people..that will not get them banned it will only waste your time so hang in there everyone help is coming!

I getting sick & tired of the hacking & cheating & gliching on xbox live its like Anarky on the inter-net & its getting out of hand microsoft & the makers of these multiplayer games need 2 Police the inter-net .I not going to play too manny muliplayer games any more becuse of it!!! I think these gaming makeing companys should do more co-op games instead of muliplayer. thats what I think should happen .

i have a 12 yr old neighbor who spends half his time glitching and the other half sucking. its funny to watch these fat little morons try to play without cheating. i reported all his friends after watching them glitch in a private match and then my 10 yr old daughter joined their session and murdered them thru their glitches. it was funny, she didnt give them time to breathe

The Patch to fix infinite care packages & other stuff re-entered MS Certification 5th February. Except I know now that theres 4 more ways to do that glitch & I doubt they’ve patched all 4 ways

COD4 was simple enjoyable, small maps for constant gameplay. They’ve made it camp heaven where yo can’t even move. I have personally gone back to cod 4 along with my friends who played cod4 since it had come out. Ruined the best game to ever come out in my opinion and other more hardcore gamers that i know. Everytime you go into a room you either get little kids screaming or amercians just taking the piss when im trying to talk to my friends. all because they have no friends on there and need to give themselves abit of excitement. Not all amercians are like this, but on this game they seem in be in every game. Why? there was nothing wrong with being able to be in a party apart from when if you ahd someone on the other side they could tell you where people were on SnD, but anybody is like me they party up and never get on a different side. The game has been out ,what? since November and how many exploits have there been, unlimited nube tubes, never ending dominations, care package super sprint, unlimited air drops, and all the xp cheating. Perks and guns all mean nothing on this game, you can meet somone one on one and duck to the floor or get to cover, but in the kill cam, you just stand there??? Also how on earth can you be shooting somone and they suddenly find the power within to stab you from 10 yards away, seriously infinity ward what is commando? I have never seen in war films a solider just grow a go go gadget arm and stab an enemy from miles away.
How can you make a game where you get people who use one man arm,danger close and just camp in a window, fire 2 nube tubes and then use one man army to swap to a class with more nube tubes, its like you designed it for a 2 year old to pick up and get a nuke, pathetic. COD4, you had a gun and a frag and a open map and the team with the most skill one, end of. I prooved this by going back to COD4 and going on a 223 win streak in TDM, but on MW2, you have to check every window and little hiding spot. awful awful game, and yes i did play it more then once,i played it for 14 days and got to 7th prestiege before i relised this game is utter utter rubbish. COD4 will always be your best game, you actually need skill to do well at that game, not sit in a corner with duel shotguns, seriously duel shotguns, not even halo went down that route.

Hackers are a giant KILLJOY to this game. Now that they will be gone, the game WILL be the BEST. With hackers, the only way to survive for more than 10 seconds is to have cold-blooded and ninja pro.My teammates who don’t have that cause us to lose the match because they die instantly. The only way I have beaten hackers is in free-for all.

So EVERYONE enjoys the game fairly, rather than one or two 14 year olds who think its fun to use sad little game exploits, annoy everyone else and think all this grants them the title of ‘games hacker’. Hackers… Who can’t edit a single piece of code to save their lives, they simply exploit games to make it easier for themselves, thats not hacking, thats simply cheating, cause cheaters just arnt as good gamers as everyone else and need to try even the playing field, what ‘glitchers’ lack in skill they make up for with cheats. No two ways about it.
They can suspend millions of people if they really wanted too! Many Prestige Boosters have been banned and are frequently complaining on the Xbox.com Suspensions Forums DAILY! They can find people who host JTAG lobbies…
The problem with demented people and bannings is everyone assumes that people get banned shortly after being caught. It doesn’t work like that. In short, MS compile a database list of console ID’s going to get banned - then roll it out in one go. If the next console banning wave is not until Sept 2010 for instance, people doing 10th or Score Mods now, may not get banned until later in the year.
They cant ban people for exploited their terribley made game, if they didnt want people to exploit it in the first place, why did they not correct these problems
Simple answer, lack of public BETA, would have helped a lot, most of these bugs would have been found and fixed.
And banning CAN be done for continuous exploits of a game, check the Xbox live terms of service, sure it states in there that its against the rules to screw with games, be it doable or not. Making a game is hard, and near impossible to iron out every bug.
my only complaint is noob tubing from the get go. they need to make it where u cant fire for a few seconds after the match starts just like with a predator missile in search. spawn killing is the dumbest because u cant even play a match. no skill just quickly look up and shoot a tube. i can care less if ppl get to 10th prestige from hacking because it effects my game in no way.

i can honestly say that i don’t think some of them are intentional. i received a ban recently cos i asked a clan for a match but they wouldn’t agree so i called them shitbags, and i was right. they were mouthy bastards during a game v 2 of my clan and they had 6 yet wouldn’t play fairly 6 on 6. they obviously ganged up to get me banned. anyway, i set up another account and paid for live and i had been on it about 3 weeks and carried on with cod 4, i was on 55 on the first ranks. i got an invite last friday to a free for all - i didn’t know the guy but i accepted through curiousity. i went into strike and there was only 3 playing. i pressed a to jump and went about 50 feet high!! i thought wtf is going on here? i’ve been in games where its gone double speed sometimes but this was different. i noticed the ping thing on my score so you had “score, kills, assists, deaths, then ping” so i knew it was dodgy. anyway, i backed out and i had been given all challenges and guns without earning them! i wasn’t impressed cos i had a quite healthy ratio already. the stats on me were all bullshit, ie 214 billion kills!! and i never asked for these, but how do you get them reverted back to what they were? i would be annoyed if that account got banned when it wasn’t my intention to have it happen to my account.

You can’t reverse those stats unless a modder does it for you. The cheating in MW2 is rampant now. It seems MS can’t ban anybody for good anymore. JTAGed boxes are able to spread their hacks (infections in lobbies) through system links to legit xboxes and they go online with that and cheat.

If you see your stats screwed up like that immediately turn off your xbox. If you don’t and exit the game normally those stats will be written to the server and then your screwed.

I got banned from live for a couple of weeks because of code of conduct. My avatar bears a resemblance to Col. Sanders and I gave myself a satirical Bio about how enjoyed nothing more than a good lynching washed down by some crispy fried coon wrapped in my special batter of secret herbs and spices, obviously someone didn’t see the sarcasm and reported me, result COC ban. SO now my Bio just reads “Code of Conduct bite my sheeeeeite” no problems yet.
And got banned from Forza for a couple of weeks for having a car that said “my other ride is your mum” on it. But nope, never seen a banning for cheating.
Haha! - I got banned from Rainbow 6 Vegas before for having the words “Fuck Off” on my multiplayer characters forehead, because it uses Live Vision Cam to scan your own face which I plastered in insults before scanning.
