Lionhead chief, Peter Molyneux has confirmed that the development studio has big plans for their upcoming title ‘Fable III’ and has announced a surprise for the X10 Event later this week.
“There’s some very, very big things happening in Fable,” Molyneux said in a GameReactor interview, “Bigger than you think, and it’s going to really upset people. I’m really scared when I go out and tell people what it is they’re going to get super pissed off, they really are.”
Molyneux then goes on to explain further during the interview that he will be demonstrating this news live, which possibly hints towards support for Project Natal? (maybe)
For those unaware, Fable III is set 55 years after the events of Fable II in the continent of Albion which is under the control of a tyrant king. The player’s character, known as a “Hero,” will be forced into a quest to become a revolutionary leader to defeat the king. During the GamesCom event in Germany last year, it was explained that players should expect to have to make much tougher choices with far wider consequences than ever before in Albion - and with many more interactive adventure elements.
No exact release date has yet been announced, but it is expected to be later this year.
