Assassins Creed III, IV & more maybe
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has stated today in a conference that the publisher wants to release its big franchises more frequently, as well as stay committed to launching new titles alongside them. Guillemot also mentioned that fans of Assassins Creed should expect a healthy dose of the title every year.

Stated during the conference:
“Our clear goal today is to come more regularly with our top brands. For example, it took three to four years to come back with Splinter Cell, Driver, Prince of Persia, or Ghost Recon. We believe we can launch them more often without risk of brand fatigue, said Guillemot.
“This commitment to our franchises does not mean we won’t continue to launch new franchises, as certain projects have been under development for some time, and two new titles will be launched in 2011 and 2012.”
Ubisoft is expected to release a new Assassin’s Creed title late this year and some minor details of the upcoming game now set for a yearly franchise has emerged:
The title’s location will be set in Rome, headquarters of the Templar’s Order. A new assassination multiplayer mode was also revealed.
“It marks the return of the legendary Ezio, but this time, he will strike directly at the heart of the Templar’s Order in Rome,” said CEO Yves Guillemot. “In addition to this full, new adventure, players will be able to challenge their friends in a very innovative assassination multiplayer.”
No exact release date has been announced, but If you are indeed an Assassins Creed addict then how pleased are you with todays news & multiplayer details?

One a year isn’t good, when franchises start that the become stale and uninteresting. They lose a lot if inovation in new gameplay.
I prefer games coming out every 2-3 years.
I loved AC2 but I don’t want to buy a new one every year.
If Call of Duty was every two years I think I’d cry! But at least with two developers the title feels different each release. Assassins Creed should be one of those titles out every other year, its big - but not THAT big!!
I love AC 1 & 2 and can’t wait for more but, every year? It could become very stale. Fingers crossed!!!
I didn’t buy the 2nd one - might in a few weeks as a used copy, but very interested in anything with multiplayer
ac 1 was good ac 2 is awesome well worth getting jason
yeah Im gonna buy a used copy, lots of good feedback it seems for it.
