Infinity Wards Community Spokesman, Robert Bowling has tweeted that Modern Warfare 2 has now attracted 25 million unique players. He also stated to expect the first Modern Warfare 2 DLC details later this week.

Bowling Tweeted:

‘…annnd we JUST hit 25 MILLION unique players on Modern Warfare 2. Insanity! Also, got a lot of #MW2 DLC details coming this week! FINALLY!’

He later followed up by confirming that it is 25 million unique players across all platforms. Most on Xbox 360, then a close 2nd goes to PS3, will millions more on PC, and informed us to expect a new Multiplayer Patch before the DLC to address issues within the game.
