Batman: Arkham Asylum wins GOTY at BAFTA Awards
Last Friday it was time again for the annual video game awards ceremony held at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. With Uncharted 2: Among Thieves as big contender for GOTY it was going to be exciting. Would Uncharted win or could we see a possible surprise? Hit the jump to read on!
And the winner of best game is… Batman: Arkham Asylum. Although Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 2 has gathered a pile of Game of the Year awards, BAFTA gave their honour to Batman: Arkham Asylum. The game also won in the Gameplay category, which left Uncharted with Best Action Game, Best Story and Best Original Score which Arkham Asylum was also nominated in.

With Left 4 Dead 2 winning best multiplayer and FIFA 10 winning best sports Electronic Arts was doing good as well. To see the entire list of awards, visit the BAFTA site.

I am surprised how much Modern Warfare 2 missed out at the awards. They only won 1, the GAME sponsored Game of 2009 award… nothing else - even Wii Sports Resort beat them!
