The original Crackdown sold pretty damn well for a new IP back in 2007. Of course that may have had something to do with the fact the it shipped with a BETA key to a relatively unknown sequel from some indie developer. Three years down the line and the Crackdown franchise has its own fanbase and has absolutely no need to try draw players in with BETA keys, Elites and Spartans. Now we have rocket tag!

A new trailer has been released showing one of the multiplayer modes for Crackdown 2, rocket tag. The aim of the game is simple, whoever gets the orb, prepare to get bombarded with rockets! Use your agents super human powers to avoid avoid the barrage as long as possible to rack up points. Check it out:

Crackdown 2 is set for release on the 6th of July in the US and the 9th in the EU.
