Crazy Taxi and Quake Arena for Xbox LIVE Arcade?

Earlier this year Xboxic already reported that ‘Sonic Adventure’ originally released on the SEGA Dreamcast was inbound, but now it seems a whole lot more unannounced titles are heading to the Xbox LIVE Arcade through a discovery on PartnerNet (the developers testing ground for Xbox LIVE) including ‘Crazy Taxi’ and ‘Quake Arena Arcade’.

Possibly one of the greatest SEGA Dreamcast titles of all time - ‘Crazy Taxi’ has been discovered on the PartnerNet Network. If you are one of the few who did not experience the game on last-gen console systems, the main objective is to pick up customers and take them to their chosen destination as fast as possible. Along the way, players earn money and scores by performing as many crazy stunts as they can within a set time whilst listening to an in game funky music track list - trying to mow down pedestrians just made it seem all that more sadistically sweeter, albeit not part of the scoring system.

Quake Arena Arcade has already been confirmed for the Xbox LIVE Arcade as reported last year, but no official release date has been announced. The leaked source has provided in game screenshots as shown below and it has been reported that ‘Quake Arena Arcade’ will feature 16 Player online battles using the original 40 maps from both Arena and Team Arena!

Other games currently being tested on the dev kit platform are listed below:

  • Metal Slug XX
  • NeoGeo Battle Coliseum
  • Raystorm HD
  • Sonic Adventure
  • The King of Fighters 2001 Unlimited Match
  • Quake Arena Arcade
  • Crazy Taxi
  • Bali Card Game
  • Doom 2 Arcade Version

Until all titles have been officially announced by their developers or publishers, the games upcoming port to Xbox LIVE Arcade will be listed as a rumour.

Anything here take you by surprise?

Xboxic will keep you informed of any future updates through our website, Twitter and Facebook pages. craaaaaazy taxi!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved that game so much - I hope it’s out soon, haven’t played this since the old dreamcast gaming days…

Noticed in the top screen Sonic Adventure has 250 Gamerscore on offer…wonder if that’s because it may have an add-on pack?

Piss off trying to watermark images which you did not source, thats dishonest and shows what a pathetic site you are.

We haven’t claimed to source them, Source leak was mentioned in the posting. ‘All’ images stored on the ICGamers server are watermarked as its about hosting, and showing our name when people choose to use the URL of our images to show elsewhere. We do not regard watermarks as a claim of source since we do take time out to mention the source in the news content itself.

Images of game items will only be removed at the request of the respective games developer & publisher who own the copyright material displayed within them. How serious can your complaint be taken considering the source has a modded console, & material using freestyle 360 homebrew dashboard? Whatever Dev Kit was used to take the images would have broken the terms of use imposed before any game material was seen? (that’s what I consider pathetic)

This is a news site, not a medium to promote modders…and finally, learn from your mistakes and watermark your images too.

If only they let the Xbox Live players play against the Quake Live community (same game for those who don’t know) then we could annihilate the joypad users so badly it would be worse than WW1.

Never going to happen but hey it’s worth daydreaming about for 30 secs.
