Microsoft Considering Xbox LIVE TV Channel
Former News Corp. President Peter Chernin and Microsoft Officials have been outed by people who claim that meetings have taken place over the proposal of an Xbox LIVE television channel. The people responsible for the leaks have sought anonymity because the talks were held in private on April 12th at the Microsoft HQ in Redmond, Washington.
According to the leaks, it has been suggested that the new Xbox LIVE TV Channel would be exclusive to Xbox LIVE Gold Subscribers and that raising the monthly fee by $1 or $2 would be implemented to cover costs. The purpose of the extra price hike means that Microsoft could also seek development of original shows to target the young male audience which dominates the online service.
The channel, if it goes ahead would be jointly owned by both Peter Chernin and Microsoft, but both parties spokesmen have declined to comment on this news.

I don’t mind. MS has worked really hard in trying to evolved the experience on LIVE. You can shop around and pay less for a yearly sub… like $3/month, so adding a buck or two isn’t a big deal.
If they bring out the TV programming and it initially sucks… I just hope they act quickly to evolve it.

I would rather pay it as a separate subscription, like pay 1200 MS Points for a year of Xbox LIVE TV, but the only way it could work is if it used the same process as Zune to auto start showing content. If it ran like Inside Xbox it would load a bit, stop, load a bit more, stop…

They can keep there lame ass TV channel. I’m getting sick of all the extra shit they keep throwing on live. They can barely keep thing running the way it is. People beeing droped out of party’s, voice chat breaking up, not to mention the really bad lag in games here as of late. Just quite trying to do everything and may the freakn’ games play right!!!
