Halo: Reach Beta Release Time
Today is the worldwide public launch of the biggest beta in the history of Xbox 360, but if you’re currently sat near your console checking every few minutes if it is available yet, there is still a little while to go.
The Flaming Effect - Juggernaut Gameplay
As most people should be aware, the only way to access the beta is through a ‘Halo 3: ODST’ game disc or by obtaining a Redeem Code elsewhere. The download file is just over 1GB and you will have until May 19th to try out all of the available matchmaking modes, the new Armory and other in game features.
After you have played at least one match on Xbox LIVE, you will be able to claim your ‘Halo Reach Beta Tester’ Avatar Hoodie from the Halo Waypoint application. Once loaded, let it scan your achievements and the pop-up alert will confirm the unlock.
The Halo: Reach beta is expected to go live early evening for the UK/EU (GMT), late afternoon (ET) and late am (PT). Be sure to let us know your impressions or share your screenshots in our Halo: Reach forums.

I would say more 6pm, since it’s likely to be about 1pm for the US and we’re 5hrs ahead

I’d say nearer 5pm GMT, although I can’t be too sure, bungie were a little vague with the “early morning” thing :p looks pretty awesome though

It has arrived and only 30mins to download! Job done!

Hey dont worry, 30 mins to download and like 2 hours just to play one game. The servers are fantastic - Ive been jammed trying to start a game for far too long.
The bungie forums are a brilliant read what with hundred upon hundreds of messages from players being unable to……. well, play.
There are a couple of things wrong with this game so far. One the hitting needs to be imporved because it took me like 4 freakin hits to just kill a player when it only took two in halo: ODST. Second the when you play the game in the other online it tells you if you’re defend the flag or if you’re getting the flag so think it should do the same in HALO reach online.
I hope there will be more levels at the end of the making of the game and more weapons.
At this point Halo: ODST online is better now, but I hope at the end, Halo Reach will be better.
I will always love halo nothing will change my mind.
