Modern Warfare 2: Resurgence Video

The second map pack inbound for Modern Warfare 2 hits the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on June 3rd. Whilst this is just over a week away before the hardcore fans start downloading like crazy, Inside Xbox have put together a preview video depicting gameplay on the new maps.

Carnival, Trailer Park, Fuel, Vacant & Strike Maps

Players will be able to earn double the experience points in multiplayer on May 28th and again on June 4th to celebrate the launch of the new maps. No new Avatar items has yet been announced to tie in with the launch for those ’still’ waiting on the Avatar Ghillie Suit.

The Resurgence Map Pack will be priced at 1200 MS Points.

The maps look good. There will be a ton of whining over the 1200 pts. I’m buying it for sure.

There would have been less whinging and whining if MS & Activision had just released it like this:

Stimulus Package - 3 New Maps 800 MS Points,
Resurgence Package - 3 New Maps 800 MS Points,
CoD4 FlashBack - 4 Old Maps 800 MS Points.

That still totals 2400 for all 10 Maps as originally priced, but it gives people the choice to have the CoD4 maps or not.

they should put out the new maps for cod 4 to give the loyal players still on there something new to mess with. not everyone wants to play mw2 like me, they prefer 4 still. they should throw Rust, Scrapyard, Invasion and Derail onto the DLC for 4, that would be a great idea.
