E3 2010: MS Has an Even Slimmer Xbox 360 in Plans

We have already reported that Microsoft is rolling out a sleeker and slimmer Xbox 360 model and is also chopping $50 off the current Arcade and Elite models in the US but what we haven’t told you is that the new Xbox 360 S won’t be the smallest member of the family forever, as Microsoft has further fat-cutting plans for the console.

An even smaller Xbox 360 model than the one revealed on Monday is planned to replace the current Arcade SKU, so that Microsoft can then have two Xbox 360 S options for the consumer.

Enjoy being the smallest Xbox 360 console while you still can…

When the next version of the Xbox 360 S will arrive and what features it will include is not yet known. The same goes for possible price reductions on the current Arcade and Elite SKUs in Europe.

When we learn more, we’ll be sure to let you know. In the meanwhile, why don’t you check out our Q&A segment on the Xbox 360 S.

Sounds more like it’ll be an ‘Xbox 360 S’ with a smaller HDD (maybe)

I’m thinking an Xbox 360 S with NO HDD, since game saves can now be saved on USB sticks. We’ll see :)

oh yes… probably the only SKU to come bundled with Kinect so it could be made even more expensive later on with a HDD :D

Actually for the same price as the standard 360($299USD) it comes with built in wifi and a built in 250GB HDD

Awesome! Another SKU, because I’m not already fucking confused enough as it is.

God I miss the days of walking in a store and picking up one kind of Nintendo system, or one kind of Sega system, or one kind of Sony system.

Now its Arcades, and Elites, and Special Editions, and Limited Editions, and tickles your balls edition, and on and on and on. I miss the simpler times. All these SKU’s are giving me a headache and really to be honest, making not want to buy one at all.

It’s not hard to figure out which is which!

Maybe not for you but, there is such a thing as consumer confusion. Offer to many variations of something and believe it or not many people will be confused by it and simply choose not to buy.

Uuuumm, Google it? Who parts with 299 without doing a little research? Failing that your local store will help you out and be on hand to give you a cuddle as the suggest the ‘tickle you balls’ edition that will no doubt best suit your needs.

Ok theres no need for you to be an asshole. Why don’t you be an adult and not be like so many children on the Internet and act like a troll. You want to express your opinion about something as I did thats fine but to attack me because of what I said makes no sense. I simply disagree with the notion of loading up stores with so many options, and as I said there is such a thing as consumer confusion rather you like it or not. Theres something to be said for simply walking in a store and having one or two options to choose from instead of eight, nine, or ten. And as far as what would best suit my needs, what would best suit my needs is if you were to grow up and act like an adult instead of disrespecting people you don’t even know because of their opinions, but I’m sure I’m asking far to much of you.
