Electronic Theatre has reported that many UK retailers selling the new ‘Xbox 360 S‘ console has sold out of initial stock and are no longer accepting pre-orders - meaning whenever new shipments arrive it will be on a first come first served basis only.
Quoted by Electronic Theatre:
“None of the stores contacted by Electronic Theatre held any remaining units, and one stockist suggested that they had, ‘greatly underestimated the demand for the new unit.”
“Tesco Direct has sold through its initial allocation, and Electronic Theatre was informed this morning that most stores throughout the UK have done the same.”
“GAME stated that many stores nationwide had sold through their supply within hours of opening, and declined to offer Electronic Theatre a date at which they expect to be restocked.”
The new redesigned Xbox 360 console was only released Friday 16th July and retailers will be expecting new stock within two weeks.
