Bayonetta’s Director Yusuke Hashimoto shared on Twitter today that we can expect an announcement concerning the eccentric action game by this week’s end. Could it be related to a Bayonetta sequel?

Hashimoto’s post on Twitter:

“Good morning. This week, it looks like we’ll be able to share new information related to Bayonetta. Please look forward to it.”

When one of the fans asked if this meant more Bayonetta was on the way, Hashimoto replied with a simple: “Please look forward to it!”

Bayonetta 2 would make sense, as SEGA has already expressed its desire to “sequel-ize” the game back in March. Add to that the fact that the original is not only one of 2010’s highest rated games, but also a million seller and you have all the makings of a sequel.
