Black Rock Studio has announced on its Facebook Fan Page for Split/Second that gamers can expect downloadable content for the racer to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace later this month, with no mention of the already-announced Hyper Car Pack though.

The first DLC to be released will feature new liveries to beautify “your turbo-powered Elite vehicles” with, whereas the second round of content will deliver an “entirely new vehicle offering called the “High Octane” Supercar Pack”. Both of these will release at a price. As a way to say thank you to its community, the developer will be giving away a free special edition vehicle based on the original classic Ryback Cyclone as part of the third round of DLC.

Another, major DLC pack which is to add a new environment is set for release sometime in September. We’ll have more details, as they become available.
